The 50th Anniversary of OD&D is coming up now in less than a year. Unfortunately WotC choose to alienate the majority of the fanbase. At least some of those fans would be excited to see WotC plan and execute a real celebration of the roots of the hobby in January 2024 and throughout the year. They could honor not just David Arneson and Gary Gygax, but both of their player groups, those who play tested the rules and helped get them published.
In addition, they could honor people like David Wesely and Rob Kuntz and many other who are still with us.
Will they have sense enough to do that? Is there anyone working for WotC in a decision making capacity that knows anything about the history of "their" IP? Only time will tell!
